Angel Oak #13 - Fine art paper or Giclee unstretched canvas - various sizes available
The Angel Oak is a type of Southern Live Oak, which means that it grows outwards just as much as upwards. The tree's canopy reaches over 65 feet in height and provides more than 17,000 square feet of shade. This is quite remarkable for a single tree! The roots of the Angel Oak potentially burrowed into the soil on Johns Island before the Mayflower landed at Plymouth Rock. The tree pre-dates European settlement, going back to a time when Native American tribes lived freely off the land.
